Someone thinks PM Harper is right
I don't know whether to applaud or be worried but it's an interesting development regardless.

Liberal power couple back Harper on Mideast
OTTAWA — Liberal power couple Heather Reisman and Gerry Schwartz have publicly broken with the Liberal Party line on the Middle East crisis and are turning to Prime Minister Stephen Harper because of his support of Israel.
Mr. Schwartz, a confidante of former prime minister Paul Martin and one of Canada's most influential businessmen as the head of Onex Corp., is one of the eight signatories of an advertisement placed in a newspaper in Cornwall, Ont., where the Conservatives are holding caucus meetings.
The ad welcomes the caucus to Cornwall and expresses appreciation to Mr. Harper, Foreign Affairs Minister Peter MacKay and Conservative MPs for "standing by" Israel. It also lauds other G8 leaders and Australian Prime Minister John Howard for their stands on the war.
Mr. Schwartz's wife, Ms. Reisman, says she is leaving the party to support the Conservatives under Stephen Harper.

Liberal power couple?
Oh man, I don't think so. Gerry Schwartz is no Liberal. Reisman donated to both parties in '04.
BTW mac, the link to your blog works. If you click on your profile then click, "my webpage" it takes you to it.
Either way I'll put a link to you on my site so you can get invaded by smart ass young liberals like moi...enjoy!
Are you suggesting someone in the media would misrepresent a situation, Zac? Say it isn't so!!
I added the webpage link but normally there's a place for blog links which, unfortunately, I can't seem to access. Weird, huh?
I think this is great news for the Tories!
Yeah, Mac, there's no problem just accessing the blog from the webpage button. It works.
Maybe somebody will figure out why the other isn't working at some point. Meanwhile, keep blogging! You're doing great.

I don't think its a big pick-up for the Tories.
This story goes to show how the MSM is interpreting this international issue as a domestic jew vs everyone else issue. To think tht every jew stands by Israel no matter what it does is utter rubbish.
I'm jewish and don't share the same view as Harper. There has to be a cease fire and an international force to disarm Hezbollah and remove them from Israel's northern border. Pure and simple. Allowing Israel to pound Lebanon until it feels its time stop is dangerous.
Since we're talking about pick-ups (I guess) I know plenty of zionists who were very pleased with Ignatieff's statement the other day and have come to the, ahem, "dark side" so to speak.
Israel's experience with the UN and international forces hasn't been great so I wouldn't blame them if they didn't jump at the first ceasefire agreement offered. Chances are Hezbollah won't abide by any ceasefire agreement so someone will have to pound them into submission, whether it's Israel or ???

Uh-huh. I bet Zac still believes in the tooth fairy too. Ah, the innocence of youth.
