be gentle
I still haven't entirely figured out Blogger so don't feel tempted to take advantage of my relative newby-ness. I do know how to "remove" comments and I won't hesitate to do so. After all, this is a blog, not a government agency. You can take your "right to freedom of speech" and shove it into whatever convenient orifice suits you best.
Initially, I wasn't going to bother posting (and I still can't imagine being a high-volume blogger) but maybe I'll stick in a note or two occasionally as thoughts trickle across my feeble mind...

Yay, Mac!! Congrats on taking this next step in your blogging career!
Most bloggers are more than willing to assist "newbies" because it feeds their bottomless egos.
Feel free to ask for help.
;)
After I posted the Veteran plate thing, I got to thinking I'd better throw a warning thread up so if certain folks get notions, they'll know what to expect. Exercise your rights all you want... just not on my blog!!
Good idea to post your policy right up front, Mac.
Yeah, I'm not into nuances. It's easier in the long run to be honest, even brutally honest, then tapdancing around the truth trying to avoid offending anyone. At least people know where they stand with me.
Hi mac, I am pretty new to blogging too. The only disagrement I have with your opinion is that it is the same thing as how we have to be 'courteous' to others in a lineup at the store or when a group of people are coming in and out of a building. You can't just put your elbows up at chest level and then just barge and push your way around. We don't do that with our physical bodies so I am not sure why we would do it with our voice?
Thanks for commenting, wandalady. I'm fairly new to blogging myself. I can't even figure out how to put my blog into my profile!!
I'm not concerned about my elbows and I'm not planning to run headlong into any crowds. There are some, however, who take pleasure in inflicting nuisance... as Joanne has found on her blog. I'm just being upfront about my intentions.
If someone wants to contribute to my blog, great! If someone contributes nothing but name calling and/or derision, their posts will be deleted. I have no time or patience for such nonsense.
Hey I've been blogging for a year and a half and you see the trash that comes off my fingertips. Never be shy to state a point if you feel strongly about it. Never let anyone tell you how to think, and just let your fingers do the talking.
